# Why is VS running with poor performance?

If you are experiencing poor performance in VS, please check the following:

* **Dedicated GPU:** If your computer has a dedicated GPU, make sure VS is configured to use it instead of the integrated graphics.
* **GPU drivers:** Ensure your **graphics drivers are up to date**, as outdated drivers can significantly affect performance.
* **Render resolution:** Check the **render engine resolution** inside VS. If it is set too high, it may reduce performance. Try lowering the resolution and gradually increasing it to find the best balance between quality and performance.
* **Video resolution:** If you are using videos in your project, make sure the files are **not excessively large or high-resolution**, as this can negatively impact performance.
